Going to an unaccredited school?

I know this might belong in the student section but I would appreciate the opinions of those in the workplace who have gone through applying/hiring cycles. How would having an ADN from an unaccredited school affect my job prospects? The school is still certified by the Ohio state board and their loss of accreditation came from a lack of internal regulation and leadership. I'm really concerned I won't get hired anywhere--I'd much rather start somewhere else if that's the case. The school supposedly got okayed from the local health systems but I'm not sure if that would extend to other cities, states, etc. Thanks in advance... ?

The school does not do a good job of regulating itself (ensuring quality) and has poor leadership.

Those facts say horrible things about the quality of your school. They didn't lose their accreditation on a technicality, they lost it because of a lack of quality. I hate to see anyone wasting their money on a school where the quality is that low.

Yeah...I would take the loss of accreditation as a big, neon, horn-blaring red flag! Even if the other programs are more expensive, a poor education experience can be even more expensive in the long run. I would pursue other options.

Where I work, they will not allow non-accredited schools to use the facility for clinicals, and therefore will make it more difficult for those students to get hired, at least in this facility.

Thanks again for the replies--you just confirmed what I already figured, lol. It indeed was Owens Community College. Luckily there are a couple other programs in the area--I'm just sick of bouncing around. I want to graduate and start practicing :(
