Gallup Assessment Test

Hey everyone,

Has anyone taken the Gallup Assessment test and passed? I recently went to a job fair and due to a lower score I wasn't even able to meet a nursing manager. However, the recruiter talked to me for half an hour, asked for my phone number and wanted my resume. He told me to call him in a few months (when I can take it again) and if I pass I will definetly have an interview.. he then gave me his name and office number.

To me it is disappointing that I sparked enough interest in the recruiter but if I don't get passed the Gallup it means I don't have a personality suitable for the job. ( I took it 10 months ago when I have been a RN for 4months in search of a job closer than an hour drive).

Sorry if i'm sounding off, it sounds like a have a shoe in with the recruiter; however, I feel like I answered truthfully on the Gallup .. maybe I took too long to answer? Will I ever pass it?

Discouraged =\

!. never heard of this before. So, what do they test? personality?

2. can you study for it:roflmao:.

seriously, this kinda makes me mad. A person spends 3-4 or so years in nursing school, however much money, and has some stupid test tell them they are not a candidate?

How 'bout they issue this test before we waste our time in nursing school?

Wow.:banghead:

eta- read some more about this- Elitist much??? Sounds like a good ole boy network to me.

op- I suggest you find a different company, and pretend you never wasted you time with them in the first place

Wow, I'm surprised to hear of this being used for nursing jobs. I had to do it a couple times for jobs in the hospitality industry ( prior to my career in nursing).

I always scored very high on it. It made sense to use this type of assessment for the hospitality industry but for nursing? Really?

One flunks if a personality is present and alive.
