Hi guys...

I took a little leave of absence because of some personal issues involving 2 of my best friends. It has been a rollercoaster ride. One of my friends lost her sister on a Saturday last month, suddenly from a brain aneurysm. Her sister had a husband and 3 boys. One is 9, one is 4 and one is 10 months. Needless to say, she and her family were devastated. As if that weren't enough, the next Tuesday, she lost a cherished friend of hers that she has known for 25 years to a blood clot that travelled to her lung...This was also sudden and unexpected. Thankfully with the help of her friends and family, she is doing much better and is back to work.

A week after those two tragedies, another friend of mine, who is 23 years old, was diagnosed with MS. She presented with optic neuritis and went for an MRI which showed plaque lesions on her brain. She has a 4 year old son and a husband.

It is almost more difficult to deal with things happening to a friend, than it is if it were happening to you, yourself!

That said, I hope to have more time to be on the boards, as it is something I have really missed. I tried to post this in The Break Room, but apparently things have changed sine I was last here and I have to be a premium member to access that forum. I guess it's time to get off my hiney and become one!

I hope you all have been doing well.
