Effectiveness of bleach against MRSA

alright, i went into work today and was given an article from the union. as i don't work in acute care perhaps everyone else is aware of this but it is the first i'd heard of it. our company policy is to use a diluted bleach solution to clean surfaces. was told it is effective against hiv and that anything effective against hiv is effective against mrsa.

so, the notice states that a letter was written to the clorox company regarding the effectiveness against mrsa of their bleach, and the company responded by writing "thank you for taking the time to contact us about ultra regular clorox liquid bleach. we appreciate your interest in our products. the ultra regular clorox liquid bleach is not an effective disinfectant against mrsa."

there is nothing written on the bleach container about this fact. and now i'm confused. what is used to clean surfaces in your facilities that is effective against mrsa??
