Drug testing question...not for me! :)

I know a guy that is a friend of our family, but the problem is, he's a pot-smoker. It's not an everyday thing, more like an every weekend thing.

He recently quit his job that he had for 7 years, and it was a boring job and I can understand why it just drove him nuts...the problem is he has been in full party-mode since he quit.

He's now looking for another job, and with so many employers drug testing, I CANNOT convince him that those "test clean" kits don't work. I saw somewhere on here where they spike high for nitrates, or something that will tell the examiner that you "took something" to try to hide the results.

He keeps saying, "Oh, I know people that have done it"...the thing is....I never have. I told him to "lay off" the weed for at least 35 days and then just hope he doesn't get a random test b/c he won't quit.

Is there any websites that I can send this idiot to prove my point?

You'd think these guys would learn after being passed up for jobs time after time. My brother was like this, he'd get passed up time and time again but he'd always come up with an excuse.

I think I posted on her a few months ago about my niece, who blew her LPN program, and got drunk, and arrested. Well, that has yet to be resolved, but when she got arrested, the two exes,(never been married to either) came after their respective childrens custody. ONE is married, and has another baby, the other has another ex with two that he rarely pays the child support for. BUT they took it to court, and now they have to go through family court. BECAUSE all THREE had previous drug convictions, among other things, the attorney for the guys wanted her to be drug tested, and then the judge ordered that they all three go to a center for testing about 100 miles away at their own expense and get tested. THEY got hair testing, because pot stays in the hair shaft for months or longer. Like previously stated here, it is according to how much how often they engaged in. ( I did google the testing for drugs, and came up with some college site that explained how long different drugs stay in the system, and how they test for it.) Anyway, like you friend, she said she had friends who had been through the same thing, and they got a special shampoo that made the tests negative regardless. She had not smoked (supposedly) but 3 times and it had been over a month. This was still in the positive results according to the site. She said her friend bought the shampoo in a town about 100 miles from us, at some current store there, and it worked for her. The site explained that even if you did not smoke pot but were in the room, some of it would end up on your hair, but that was the reason they tested the shaft only. Cutting the hair makes it more difficult, the shorter it is to test for longer periods of time, like with guys with short hair. SO they use underarm or leg or chest hair for guys. The shampoo was about $60 wherevere she was going to buy it but it was available on line, along with about everything else you wanted. ONe site actually advertised a 60 day or so, diet supplement that supposedly cleansed everything from your body IF you had enough time, and did not re expose it. So the shampoo was about $30 online, SHE DId order it, and her test came back negative. MIGHT have anyway. BUT when she called the testing site she was sent to, as her ex cut all his hair off and she wanted to know about that, the tech actually told her there was a shampoo available, but nobody knew about it. YEA RIGHT DUHHHHHHHHHHH> HOw Stupid SO, for now she tested negative, used the shampoo, and they did under arm hair on the ex. I think the problem is they dont understand they have a problem. ANYBODY who thinks that negating test results is an adequate answer just proves my point. It would be so much more appropriate and gainful for your friend, to admit problem, stop , and grow up and become a responsible law abiding adult.

Everyone of course is right, drugs are bad. That being said, if he does a search, companies trying to sell testing products usually list the detection times for different test. Occasional users of pot normally only show up in a urine test with in 15 days and not before 1 full day. The sites explain the different tests. Nothing beats a test, but the tea can mask it. Here's how; there is a thermometer on the cup so if you drink alot of water the temp is off and the specific gravity is off. The tea makes the temp normal and helps with the SG. I had a hair test for my last job, I don't use drugs so it didn't matter what test they use, they took hair from my armpit. I asked the tech if the test could be beat, and she said no; the hair acts like the rings of a tree so you can't wash it off. They can also go back as long as the hair is (about 1 mo per inch) but companies usually only go back 3 mo. If you have no hair they can get the same sample from shaving the finger nails. So.... Again drugs are bad, and because of this the tests are getting more and more reliable. Ask him what's more important smoking, or making a living.:trout:
