Do hospitals/clinics accept nurses with Hepatitis B?

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and looking at taking nursing courses and then will try to find a job as a nurse. The thing is, I have Hepatitis B. I started to know that I had it 12 years ago, since then I am on medication and I am generally healthy and can do hard work just like other people. However, I have no idea if schools will accept nurse students with Hepatitis B and also later on, will hospitals/clinics, etc. accept them or not.

Is this a big deal for schools/hospitals and is there any policy/regulation that prevent people with Hepatitis B from working as nurses?

I have never known for hospitals and other healthcare facilities to test for hepatitis B, HIV, and other diseases prior to employment. Potential workplaces in the area where I live administer simple tuberculin skin tests to check for TB (tuberculosis), but nothing else.
