Hello there,

I've been trying to figure out the acronym "UDAP". I know it's some kind of test that analyzes urine for the presence of drugs but I'd really like to know what it actually stands for since I'm writing a paper about this.

I came across it during clinical since my pt in the mother/baby unit had a history of positive UDAP(s)... anyhow... IF ANYONE CAN help me that'd be GREAT! I really appreciate it

THanks

Azzurra

I googled it... I believe it is undifferentiated abdominal pain... must be to do with urinary tract infections or pelvic inflammatory disease??? Not positive though... HTH's .... I'm sure someone else knows.. maybe check it out on the OB board... good luck!

I think in your case it probably stands for 'urine drug and alcohol panel' or something similar. In many hospitals, you'll hear 'UDS' (urine drug screen).

My guess would be Urine Drugs of Abuse Panel, since our hospital uses a similar acronym. hope that helps, and good luck with your paper!
