Aleve good for fever?

I've been having fever chills etc for about a day and a half now. I started out taking advil, then alternating advil and tylenol. I didn't want to be taking so much so I took 2 aleve about 2 hours ago and my temp's not yet below 99.3. Is aleve not a good choice for fever?

southernlpn, I hope you get the area in the colon checked. I too, had abdominal pain but just morning and evening. I'd have rigours about 7 pm then fall asleep and wake up with fever. I didn't go to the doctor for 6 days (mine was on vacation). When I called his partner, she immediately suspected perforated colon. And then the nightmare started. That was July 22. I now have home health nurse in twice a day to pack and dress the abdomen.

This is one time I'd like a "do-over"; I'd have been calling on day ONE.
