Have any of you guys ever seen abdominal TB in immunocompromised pts? What about abdominal histoplasmosis?

Just curious to what others have seen. I hesitate to go into a vivid description of the case I was involved in recently, but was very curious as to the prevalence of this finding by others.

I don't know if I'm remembering the right thing (eh?... what's my name?? :D)... but I think I saw some subQ TB that was essentially a section of skin that had crepitus so bad it was like malignant rice krispies .... If it was, I can only imagine what it's like in the abd.

( dang it- I downloaded Lion today, and now the thing self-spell checks and changes my medical stuff into words that make NO sense- LOL ).

Just recently had a patient with both. Patient had was a couple years post total gut transplant, so on lots of anti-rejection meds.
