"6 Feet Under" is over! Finally a real nurse on TV!

Anyone else depressed that 6 Feet Under is now over?

I never thought I'd get addicted to any TV show but I watched the final episode and it was a major downer for me.

What's wrong with me?

I'm 35 and moping around because a TV show has ended.

I must not have enough to worry about in real life anymore, huh?

I just thought it was nice to have real characters such as a real "nursing home" nurse with a real life instead of tv nurses always having to be in the drama of the ER, marrying or having an affair with some rich doctor, or on drugs.

It was also nice to see a gay male couple who wanted a stable home and children on TV instead of showing gay guys bopping around at nightclubs on X or crystal meth.

Any other "6 Feet Under" fans out there who are sad that it's over?

And couldn't we all have predicted that psycho Billy would end up talking Brenda to death! LOL. No surprise there.

I kept on Tivo-ing it back to see the dates and figure out how old everyone was when they died.

Something I missed the first time that I discovored watching it again:

Claire's wedding. One of Keith and David's sons was there holding hands with a guy. Can't figure out which son it was but apparantly one of them turned out to be gay as well.

You know since you've looked at all the details... I was wondering about the second son... it seemed like after a while it was only the one son that was shown at all the events. I was kind of dissapointed about the Keith thing... they should have taken out Frederico early! And Brenda being talked to death that was tooooooooooooo hillarious.

YES! I had to go back and watch that too! The son was holding hands with an Asian man - I love the diversity that the creators depicted. Also, I had to go back and 're-wind' to see that it looked like Brenda had re-married and was pregnant again. One thing I noticed was that it didn't look like Claire was aging at all until she was 102. I don't know if they wanted her to appear youthful throughout the years, or if that was a symbol of something else.

It was the younger son who was gay (remember he was the more sensitive one) and the younger son had the lighter skin tone, that's how you can tell. The older son took over the funeral home and was standing breifly with David at their mother's funeral. I think it was nice that Brenda remarried and was pregnant again. Actually, I was pretty supportive of Rico. I beleive he should have forced them to buy him out (would you want your livlihood to depend on that dysfunctional group, Rico was the only sane one). It was interesting in the end that Claire was blind considering she spent her life as a photographer.

Did everyone see the full obits on HBO.com? Interesting... I missed most of the last show but did catch the "wrap up" Great way to end a show. Loved Brenda and Billy, same old same...

Just went and looked. I happened to notice there was a discussion section for the show. Kind of scary, really... people are heavily and seriously arguing about say what words were used in the obituaries... :icon_roll
