So i am about two weeks away from starting my nursing school
journey and so many thoughts are swirling threw my head. I have been hearing horror stories the nursing program I plan on attending. So many students dropping out or failing their first semester. Not even making it to Nursing process two. Then the cost of all of my books and tuition are overwhelming since I am a dependent student the only Financial Aid I qualify for are loans. Its really frustrating and I have not even started yet! I am only 20 years old and I do not have work experience in the medical field, which is a big disadvantage. I only worked retail for less than 6 months. I did take HOSA in high and gained a little experience at a nursing home but nothing major. I am scared out of my mind. Being one of the youngest students in the program has me doubting myself. Is it to early for me to be in nursing school? Will I be able to compete with students older than me with more life experience? I am a bundle of nerves right now.
