Hello everyone. I'm new to allnurses.com and I just wanted to say congrats to those who got into the 2012 UCF nursing program this summer.

I am a prenursing student at UCF as I am still working on a few prerequisites before I apply to CON.

Seeing you all on here, all going through the things I'll be going through next spring makes me feel better about this whole process.

Good luck to everyone!!! Strap in! It's going to be one kind of a ride from what I've heard.

Is there anyone out there who is planning on applying to accelerated program (ABSN) that starts in summer 2013? I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding many of you who wouldn't mind going through this somewhat stressful process together! :)

I am very excited and hopeful that I'll be accepted next year. I already have a bachelor's degree in finance and investments so my #1 choice is the accelerated route, however I will also apply to the basic program as a back up option, which will start in the fall of 2013.

Anyone has taken TEAS yet? I took it in spring semester and scored 82. My overall GPA is 3.90 and prerequisite GPA 4.0 so far. I still have 4 prerequisites to complete. Should I retake the TEAS? I heard that scoring 90 or above makes you really competitive.

Like I said. Accept it immediately and if you get a positive response from UCF then call them to decline. For my first bachelor's degree I got accepted to several schools then wait listed to my top choice. I accepted to my second choice. Two weeks before starting classes, I got a call from my top selection saying that someone dropped and I jumped all over it and accepted. I then called my other school to let them know, thus opening up a spot there for someone else. So, just accept it and let what happens happen.

good point! They should send ours now so they can send basic interview invites at 3 pm. Basic interviews are in 2 weeks! Wonder if anyone from UCF watches these posts and just laughs!

As long as they hit the send button on their way out the door this afternoon, they can throw a pie in my face and spray me with seltzer water. I'm with you djmeow. I'm waiting for the basic interview email to arrive in my inbox. It's comforting to know that there will be a lot more anxiety while we (assuming we got interviews) wait for the acceptance letters :/

There is no way everyone on here got waitlisted. The odds of getting in after interviews were 50-60% so that would apply to all of us so some of us had to get in! I'm starting to wonder if we are even going to hear today and trying to imagine what they are waiting for. Tempted to call but don't want to be a pain but seriously they close in one hour!?!?!
