Hello everyone. I'm new to allnurses.com and I just wanted to say congrats to those who got into the 2012 UCF nursing program this summer.

I am a prenursing student at UCF as I am still working on a few prerequisites before I apply to CON.

Seeing you all on here, all going through the things I'll be going through next spring makes me feel better about this whole process.

Good luck to everyone!!! Strap in! It's going to be one kind of a ride from what I've heard.

Is there anyone out there who is planning on applying to accelerated program (ABSN) that starts in summer 2013? I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding many of you who wouldn't mind going through this somewhat stressful process together! :)

I am very excited and hopeful that I'll be accepted next year. I already have a bachelor's degree in finance and investments so my #1 choice is the accelerated route, however I will also apply to the basic program as a back up option, which will start in the fall of 2013.

Anyone has taken TEAS yet? I took it in spring semester and scored 82. My overall GPA is 3.90 and prerequisite GPA 4.0 so far. I still have 4 prerequisites to complete. Should I retake the TEAS? I heard that scoring 90 or above makes you really competitive.

Thanks for all of your responses.

Best of luck!!!

Good morning all! Well, today is the day. I don't know about all of you but my stomach has been in knots all week. I wish that each and every one of us will get in. Good luck to you all!

Thanks! And good luck to you!

I hope everything goes well today for everyone. I already had my get-yelled-at-by-a-crazy-person meeting today, so it should be all smooth sailing from here on out! Come on nursing school! I'm up for a change from schizophrenic people!

I can't believe this. On the bright side we only have a little over 5 hours left to wait. We will know soon. I am praying that Good Friday stays good.

I can't believe they are there making a decision, when it is a holiday. Hopefully they are there!

I was hoping it would be out by noonish or 1pm because a lot of businesses close early for Good Friday. That would have been a miracle. :)

They are not making the decision today. It is made I'm sure. They said the committe would meet tuesday and run into Wed. That's it. The question is why are they not telling us? UCF is open cause I talked to transfer services this morning. I'm guessing whoever on here said it would be end of the day so they don't get a lot of calls is right. That makes no sense though. If you need to call you will still call... on Monday! Now I'm starting to fear there is a hold up.... At least we are not those who have to let USF know if we accept or decline a spot by Monday. No one on here is accepted there and waiting on UCF right? There are a lot of "guests" lurking on this page today too! 5 members, 20 guests.... come on guests, join in!

I know! Yesterday I looked up the student holidays for UCF and found out that Good Friday was not a holiday so I guess it is just a regular work day for them. I am soooooo nervous!!!!

Hi All!!! I'm so anxious just waiting to see!! I've been checking this board and my emails since the beginning of the week. Good luck to you all. I've got my fingers crossed for some good news on Good Friday! :D

No changes on Certified Background either. Darn. I'm sure they won't change that until we give them a yes/no but I was still hoping for a clue.

That's terrible. I'm not in the application to USF, but that would be horrible to possibly lose a spot at one school because you are waiting on another one that really should have had decisions out by now. I'm so sorry for the stress those people must be feeling. Stay strong everyone. This day will come to an end one way or another.

Im not in the USF pool, but no one would lose a spot unless they were stupid. You should always accept a spot and then if something else came along, you call them back and decline. If you are in that boat, don't be stupid and accept, and then if UCF comes a calling, call USF up and decline.

Sigh...I'm one of those lucky/unlucky (however you look at it) USF boat. We have until April 1st at 5pm to accept/decline so I'm giving UCF until tonight to send out notices. UCF is my first choice so I'm trying to stall as long as possible on USF.
