Pay rate for LPN with 15+ years experience?

We are considering a move to For Myers/ Lehigh or somewhere in that Florida Location. Does anyone know the salary range for an Lpn with 15+ years experience?

What type of nursing are you considering? You can get a rough idea from job postings that list a salary.

Thanks for your response. Long term care or private duty would be preferred. That's where I have the most experience. I have looked at the salary ranges and they do seem a bit low.

Generally speaking, nursing pay rates in Florida tend to be 15 to 20 percent lower than the national average. There is a saying to partially explain the phenomenon: "Welcome to Florida, where you are paid in sunshine."

Thus, people willingly live and work for low pay in Florida in exchange for the desirable weather and the chance to reside in a state that is an international vacation destination.
