Ocala Hospitals input please :o)

U.S.A. Florida

Just got back from a house/job hunting trip to Ocala. LOVE the SW area and found the perfect place we had hoped for in a community of Fore Ranch.

Question is:

I spoke with all 3 hospitals. Marion County Community Center only offered 21.00 an hour but with a 4,000 moving allowance.

The other two- Ocala Regional and ( god its late and I forget its name)...offered 24.00 to start ( new grad but with 18 years exp LPN) plus 2.00 /hr extra for ICU or ED, and a 2500.00 moving allowance.

Question is:

Which hospital rates the highest in your opinions for how they treat their staff etc etc?

Thanks a bunch. We LOVE Ocala. Not too big, not too small and the housing market is very affordable with projected drops in the prices of homes over the 2 years. So its a buyers market and a sellers nightmare.

Any info would help.

Thanks!

Brenda

Thanks for the heads up Chris. Dosen't look too good does it?

I wonder what private physicians pay for RN's in office? I have been viewing the online Star Banner now for a bit and have seen a few positions in MD's offices but it does not quote any rates. I ahve also checking into the Marion C. Hospice as you suggested and they pay is about average.

Thanks again Chris!!!! I appreciate your info. :)

Enjoy the sunshine and warm weather there.......its only 68 here. ackkkkkkkk!!!

I know this post is kind of old but I couldn't help posting. I work at MRMC and I couldn't imagine working anywhere else. The people here have an essence of a team spirit and work together well. Administration makes sure its employees feel they have a sense of ownership in the hospital. I am a pre-nursing student and I can tell you, the amount of support I get for continuing my education is incredible.

MRMC recently acquired top Chest Pain Center accredidation and we are one of only 57 centers in the state of Florida. Our patients receive excellent care and are treated like family. We are busy all the time, but our patient flow people don't shove high levels of patients down your throats like some of the other hospitals. I reccomend Munroe.

And I also reccomend Fore Ranch! I live there and love it!:D
