New Graduate Thinking of Accelerated BSN program, any info would help

U.S.A. Florida

Hi all-

I just graduated from UF in the Fall with BA in poliSci. I thought my career direction was in law and have already been accepted to two law schools with scholarships but recently have had a change in heart and want to pursue a career in nursing (although I do plan on earning a masters). My question pertains to my chances of getting admitted to an accelerated nurse program in Florida.

I am a 23 year old male.

Graduated UF Cum Laude with 3.82 gpa

Graduated Manatee Community College Cum Laude with 3.5

Pre rec gpa 3.71

I have no idea how the admissions to these ABSN programs work and wanted some info from either applying students or accepted. Thanks!

I just stumbled across this thread and had a few questions. I'm applying to the ABSN program next year and have already met with Ken regarding admissions, etc. I was more curious about your experience in the program though. I've heard students in the regular BSN program talking about how tough it can be, so I can only assume that the accelerated program is even more overwhelming. Also, with less time in nursing school did you feel adequately prepared upon graduating or did it feel like everything was just rushed through? Basically I'm just wanting to know your overall opinion/experiences with the accelerated program and also where you ended up career-wise after graduating. Thanks!!
