Hey everyone! So I will be moving to the Tampa area sometimes between May-July this year, and will be visiting and hopefully setting up interviews for late April. I have been looking into the different hospital systems, but was wondering if anyone can tell me what I could expect to be offered as far as pay goes for the different systems? I will have 2.5 years experience, mainly in MICU/SICU with roughly 6 months of floating to the ED. Fairly certain at this point I will stick to the MICU/SICU, unless there is a critical care float pool that includes ED, which is what I am in now. I have been working for the Cleveland Clinic, and they are notorious for not paying nurses much. CC only offers a $1 shift diff from 3p-7a, which I believe most other places offer much more.

If anyone is familiar with any system in the Tampa area, and roughly what they offer someone with my experience in an ICU, please let me know. Also, please include shift diffs I could possible expect. Lastly, if any systems have float pools that you're familiar with, that offer more money, please let me know any info you have on those.

Thanks!

Thank you! I read through those and got some good info. I feel like I am leaning towards Tampa General, Baycare, and Bayfront. I like ICU and would love to work for a community hospital like where I am, but also love working for a trauma II or higher so I actually get the higher acuity patients. Can anyone given me info on pay for each of these locations? Ballpark idea would be helpful! Thanks :)
