Just wanted to find out if anyone else got their acceptance letter from Mercy School of Nursing. :yeah:

I have not applied for this school, but I've been hearing alot of things (good) about it. But quick question, do they have financial aid available? If not (and if you don't mind me asking), how are you funding your education?

Hi, Im still waiting ... Hopefully I'll hear from them by the end of this week on whether i got in for aug. 2009 class or not.

When did you get your letter?

Congrats!!

Do they have financial aid available??

Hello,

I am a new nurse, and I'm very interested in applying for a job at Mercy. For those who are familiar with this hospital, I was wondering what the pay rates for an RN would be. Also, what would be a safe area of residence to live, while working at this hospital?

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Hey guys ! Im an LPN and i heard that Mercy has an LPN-RN program. Haven't heard much about it. I applied for the transitional program at MDC in January and to this day I have not received an accpetance/rejection letter. I want to have other options and today I found out Mercy has that program. Does anyone know much about it ? When it starts ? Do they have a fall and spring semesters ? If you know anything I'd like some info please :D Thanks !

Here's the link that can hopefully answer your questions

Hi, sorry for the late response. I didn't get an email letting me know that there were responses to my forum question so I never bothered to look until today. Did you get your letter? I got mine on the 13th of July. I hope you made it. If so I look forward to being classmates.

Take care.

Same here. The school is said to be very good and has a wonderful reputation. That's why it was my first choice. Well, they do give you options on funding your education. One of them being applying for a Pell Grant (https://fafsa.ed.gov/). Aside from that you have the option to pay your tuition monthly, which is around $450. Also, they have scholarships, which I'm told are given to those who excel during the program as opposed to previous academic achievements, but I'm not entirely sure.

Hope that help. Take care.
