  1. hey guys. i just got accepted to their lpn to rn program. Got the student handbook and realized they aren't accredited i know the major hospitals won`t hire you unless you attended an accredited RN program. Any of you graduated the RN program and know if they`re going to be accredited at all ? ugh I`m all stressed and worried now :|
  2. Thanks ! That means a lot. I can't give up. I've worked so hard finishing the LPN program just so i can transition to become an RN. Let me tell you its kinda depressing to receive nothing but rejection letters Good Luck to you also :)
  3. hey all. I got my 3rd rejection letter I've been trying for a year. Oh well. Im going to try Mercy Hospital college of Nursing for spring 2011. Wish me luck guys ! :)
  4. No letters yet anyone ?
  5. oh good. I read the new requirements and i was like oh no !!! this is my third time applying and now they changed everything ! but i guess that's good news. I'm reapplying to the lpn to rn program. Wish me luck guys !:)
  6. Did you hear they changed the selection criteria
  7. Did any of you guys take random classes, not pre-reqs for the program just to raise your gpa ?
  8. thanks guys ! whoa Shen 4 times ? have you been taking extra classes to raise that gpa ? even classes you dont really need ? i dont know about BCC, it is wayyyyy to far from my house and for the online programs ? i dont know i learn better going to school, and learning hands on. Well, i'm taking another class for spring so we'll see and apply again for next time
  9. I got my rejection letter for Bridge full time and part time this weekend I became an LPN bc it's so hard to get into the RN programs, I realllllyyy want to be a nurse and I figured I can be working as a nurse , i also heard its easier to get into the lpn to rn programs, lol apparently its not. Guess now I have to take extra classes to raise my gpa. Ugh I did all my crying this weekend cause its so frustrating, i really want to work at a hospital , hospitals dont really hire lpn's anymore, only agencies do. Guess I'll try again next time
  10. Thanks MDCupcake ! Received the rejection to part time as well lol. It's soo tough out there. I really want to be an RN, being an LPN is fine but most hospitals don't hire them. It's so tough, I work with an agency that hires RN's too and a lot of new grads are working with me because hospitals aren't hiring RN's right now, there's some kind of freeze or something. I don't know what to really do. I have a friend that goes to Broward's nursing program but that is toooo far for me. Don't know if I should take extra classes to raise my gpa and apply again ? Its driving me nuts !
  11. I received my rejection letter today for Full time Bridge Program I also applied for the part time Bridge program. Don't know if i'll be receiving another acceptance/rejection letter. I called and they said yes but with MDC you never know.
  12. I went to Robert Morgan. Graduated April 2008. It was crazy, the clinical uniform are horrendous. But you can do it. It'll fly by. Iv'e been trying to apply to the bridge program and its pretty crazy. Got denied for this fall, just got my rejection letter today for the Bridge full time Spring 2010 , waiting to see if maybe ill get accepted for part time spring 2010 since i applied for full time and part time. Trying to see what Broward College offers. I know they have an lpn-rn program, so does Mercy but last time I called Mercy hospital the orientation for the lpn-rn were done by july. It's tough out there. Good luck !
  13. Well i got my rejection letter the last week of August and returned my rollover for spring August 27th for the transitional program full time/ part time. Let's see what happens !! Good luck to you all !
  14. I guess they're doing it with the transitional program too. Nothing in the mail either. It sucks. I even went in person applied again and the advisor put rollover for spring 2010 because I assume I didn't get in. It would be such a relief to actually get a rejection letter when i check my mail.
