MDC Accelerated Nursing Program~ FALL 2012

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hello everyone!!

I got accepted into the accelerated program at MDC :) I would like to start a thread so we all can start getting acquainted...I received the acceptance email on the 3rd...It has been a long rough road to get to this point but I am very happy and grateful to be here. I am mentally ready to get this started...I am aware of the long tough journey ahead of me....we can do this! Lets be focus to the finish line!..Lets try our best to help each other...We got this!!!!....cannot wait to meet you all on Tuesday!!...

I'm re-taking CPR at MDC next weekend. Their course is AHA-approved. The Red Cross CPR for First Responders class I recently took, which cost a lot more than MDC's, is apparently worthless, as far as MDC and the hospitals they deal with are concerned.

I do have everything else squared away, though.

I'm so excited about Tuesday!! Anyone nervous about this test we're supposed to be taking?

my CPR card expires on Oct. this yr..I will renew it before class starts...do you guys know the exact day of our first of class?...this test is a diagnostic test to see our study styles, critical thinking, etc...is not going to count against us..just do your best ;)...can't wait to meet you Tuesday!!...

can you please tell me if we need to create another ATI account?....isn't it the same account we had from taking our TEAS test?

We need to have an ATI account. As far as I know, you only need one account, so you should be able to use the one you created for the pre-admission TEAS V. I don't know why they don't say that in the instructions. I assume every applicant to any of the tracks took the TEAS V.

oh great...I guess we shouldn't be worry about it...I am heading to clinic to check my 2nd tb skin test then campus to find out about it and then work...have a great day!...see you tomorrow!

hi i am renewing my CPR card on 7/22 at MDC...has anyone know how much is the book?...

I'm talking the class tomorrow, and I haven't seen or heard a thing about a book from MDC or their Web site. Some people have said that some instructors require a book and some don't. We'll see what happens tomorrow at 8:30 AM.

hello, do they require to buy the book for CPR class?...as far as health insurance do we need to give a copy to the Nursing office?

Hi sil2012

I had my cpr class today and we did not use any book!!

thank you for your response;)...

on the other mdc thread was mentioned to attend a workshop on 8/14....does anyone knows about this?
