LPN Schools in Central Florida Area

U.S.A. Florida

Hi nurses and future nurses!

I am a stressed out college student who is ready to rant her heart out. Be prepared. I started out at Valencia in 2014, eager and fresh faced to start the nursing program I spent nearly a year and a half taking classes, to get rejected because they changed their requirements the following year. I transferred to Seminole but some of pre reqs from Valencia did not transfer over to Seminole, so there are basically a few classes I would have to take all over again.

Long story short, I am frustrated, and I am my wit's end, almost to the point of giving up. The thing about nursing schools is the fact that you can't apply for multiple schools at once being that every school has different requirements as far as classes, so if you do not get into one school, you have to start all over again. I was going to go about spending another year taking classes to get into another rn program, but I am tired.

I know I chose a convenient time to change my mind, right before spring semester, but do you guys know of any lpn programs in the central florida area that has any summer or fall classes, any past graduates would be helpful as well. I am desperate but I do not want throw my money to a school that will not prepare me for my future career, there have been so many schools that got shut down within the past few years.

So please, anybody, somebody list away, give me advice, help me for I am lost lol. If all else fails I might just move to another city or out of state. But I want to make sure that I thoroughly explore my options before doing so.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

Moved to our Florida Nursing forum for increased response rate.

Orange Technical College formerly Orlando Tech has an LPN program that starts in Fall and Spring. It is a public school through Orange County. I graduate in February from the program.

Thank you so much
