Hi Guys, will be enrolling to LPN Program 2014 @ Lake Tech Austis Florida, any advice? How hard or challenging is their LPN program??? Please advice...Is Lake Tech Fully Accredited??

When do you start? The program is interesting......

I just started looking into this program. Was originally considering an rn track but I think I may do LPN then the bridge. What I'm trying to figure out is are there any pre requisite classes?

Oh and congrats!!!

I graduated from Lake Tech in November so ask away! There are no pre-requisites, you just have to pass the TABE and TEAS tests as well as an interview with the heads of the program

Thanks. Did you feel prepared? How does the job market seem? Do you think it will be easier to get into a bridge program LPN to RN? Thanks a lot.

I did feel pretty prepared. I graduated with honors and passed my NCLEX with 85 questions on the first try. I also got accepted into Valencia's LPN to RN program on my first attempt and start this August! The job market for me personally has been terrible, but most of my classmates were able to find jobs immediately. I haven't because I don't want to work at nursing homes or home health

Yes I have heard that its tough if your not willing to do nursing home. Which I am temporarily to gain some experience. Do u feel your LPN or your time there helped you get into the bridge program? Is it easier I mean to get into a bridge program?

I think me doing so well in LPN school helped me get into the bridge program. To get into the bridge program you have to do really well on your TEAS exam, good grades (B or better) on your pre-reqs (especially in the sciences), and they look at your grades from LPN school as well (though those aren't calculated in your GPA). So I don't necessarily think it matters where you go to LPN school as long as all those things collectively add up well
