Broward College hopeful for May 2013 Nursing Program

U.S.A. Florida

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

I am hoping you are right because I am not sure if I can take another weekend of not knowing... Time to go see a man about some joojoo! :wacky:

Please pass the joojoo...

What have u been reading?

So far only chapter 29, vital signs.

As you can see from my profile pic, I'm not the only one waiting. Lol

I've heard that after the first semester of nursing school, students can work as CNAs (I guess we learn all those skills first semester?). I plan on working part-time or per diem as a CNA after the first semester if I feel I can juggle it with school.

I've heard that some nursing programs do that too. I wonder if it applies to the BC program though. It would be great if it does. I would definitely consider it as well.

A friend of mine already in the program works as well, she even said that her class was released early one day so that they could go to a job fair with a bunch of hospitals.

Good morning, and happy Friday. Let TODAY be the day!!!!!!

I like today...8 is my lucky number..I feel good about today. Happy thoughts  And a great start to the weekend.

I finally bent to the cute doggie avatar peer pressure...Your doggies are so adorable and I'm proud of my pooch!

That face is murder, so cute! Is it a white Boxer or American Bulldog? Mine is a deaf white Boxer, but the two can look so similar it is hard to tell in pictures.

She's a white boxer...2 years old. We thought she was deaf when she was a pup but it turns out she was just ignoring us...lol.

Aww! Mine is 4, and he has been totally deaf since I got him at 4 months from the rescue. Learning to train him with hand signals was a challenge, but it's great, even the Pug follows the signals now. There is nothing sweeter than that Boxer face when they gaze at you with their sheer unadulterated love, but that energy can be a challenge. We were playing indoor fetch last night until almost midnight, he just wouldn't give it up so Daddy is tired today. lol

That's great! My dogs don't listen to me. One is big and lazy and just looks at me like I haven't said anything. The other is young and energetic and all over the place.
