Anyone attending any USF nurse practitioner programs?

Hi,

I am looking for anyone who is attending USF in any of the NP programs. I am considering attending for Fall of 2009, and I would love to know how people like the program, how easy it is to find inexpensive housing near the university, and if they are able to work part time while taking classes.

Thanks in advance!

I graduated from USF in "another lifetime" ('77), and know a lot of people who have gone through the MSN and NP programs. It's a good, very demanding, program with tons of clinical opportunities. Moffitt Cancer Center and Shriner's Hospital are on the USF campus, with a major VA hospital and a large community hospital just off campus. Many classes are offered on line, and I don't know anyone who does not work while going to school. There is inexpensive housing close to campus, but take care. Inexpensive can = high crime. Talk to the housing office and your advisor for suggestions.

Definitely agree with nrcnurse. I currently work at USF and there is a lot of inexpensive housing nearby that is not in good neighborhoods. The housing office has lists of reasonably priced housing in good neighborhoods.

imagin916 - Let me know if you decide to come to USF and need me to check out a housing neighborhood for you.
