Scared of not finding a job.

I've gone on three interviews so far. No calls back.

Granted the interviews were all last week and I'm not expecting calls until late this week or after thanksgiving, but still...the wait is stressing me out and as usual I'm turning to food to cope *deep sigh*

To compound matters I had to buy a new car because my transmission died and it was too expensive to fix. I wasn't ready for this purchase. My part time job and savings will cover this brand spankin new bill, but the pressure of more financial responsibility with no full time job yet is driving me crazy.

I hate job hunting. How do you cope during the wait?

From my experience, things do come to a stand-still during a holiday week. Follow-up with them if you don't hear from them this week. Good luck.

One of the most important lesson I have learned is that your life is going to go on. You can choose to live your life in fear or in trust. You only need one job. Have someone you trust go over your resume, do some CEUs (you can add them to your resume) and do things that increase your energy and happiness.

Wishing you great success in your career.

I agree with the prior poster. In most facilities, this week is pretty much a write-off as far as administrative stuff is concerned, so you're probably not going to hear anything.

That being said, YOU should still be checking those job sites daily--including during this week--and applying for whatever you can. Your job hunt shouldn't stop until after you've signed an official job offer.

Best of luck and hang in there!

be patient!

You had THREE interviews!

That in itself is amazing.

The holiday season has arrived and HR people generally have this week off. Give yourself two months before assuming you have been rejected.
