NCLEX testing and positive thinking

:) When I took my NCLEX testing our class thought we would all pass the exam and we all did. I went into the testing room believing I was going to pass the test and I did. I am worried about all the negative things I hear people saying such as " I know I'm going to fail etc. etc. etc." I know a man who took the test 3 times and failed. Each time he told me "I know I'm going to fail it again and he did. Please think only positive thoughts about the test. I worry that people sometimes fail because they truly believe they are going to fail. What do you think?

I agree with you!! Positive thoughts.....positive thoughts...

I just took the PN boards and from the start I just knew I would pass. But as the days got nearer and once I actually took it I couldn't think positive, everything I thought about was negative.

I do believe that I passed thru the grace of GOD and from the help of my ANGEL (my granny), not excluding my hard work, but it is truly a blessing to sit down and take this test and pass it. So your right if you think positively about the test and your ability you will do fine.

Thanks, my exam date is on august and yes being a positive thinker makes me more confident and I never thought even a single time that i would fail, yes I will pass and yes being positive is good!!;)

Yeah, but I will also add to also BEHAVE IT and you'll actually see it manifest! Even while in school , because of how I was talking that "I know I'll pass Nclex", lots of people were calling me and asking me, what do I do in this case, which review is better, which books are best. Mind you, I had not taken Nclex yet O! I remember a friend of mine said she was afraid for me, she went on, "what if you don't pass?"..on and on.. I never called her again, avoided her all through till after my Nclex..LOL.. RUN as fast as you can from negative people! I passed Nclex and knew i had passed right there because I was saying it and was too sure I wouldn't see anything but pass. Do you know I framed my exam with my mouth? I know I'm good but i never want to see those multiples(select all). And i took my nclex, passed with 75 WITHOUT ONE single "select all". Most of my questions were the kind i love so much, ..prioritization.

Anyways, I just thought i should use this medium to encourage you and all others who are yet to take nclex...hope i haven't bored anyone! Goodluck on your NCLEX! Let us know the good news!

Thanks you've encouraged me to be positive. I am sitting for my boards on July 20, and am nervous. I do believe that I will pass, but my family tells me it's okay if for some reason you need to take the nclex again. Thanks
