NCLEX prep course

I am having difficulty deciding on which (if any) NCLEX prep courses I should take. I took HESI to graduate and I made a 1060. I'm not too worried, but I know I can't use the HESI as a true guide of how I will do on NCLEX.

I have narrowed my choices down to Sylvia Rayfield and the Hurst Review. The Hurst review is a little more, but it has a money-back guarentee. The hospital I will be working for suggests the Sylvia Rayfield, but the nearest class that is coming up is 2 1/2 hours away. Price also isn't really an issue because I will be reimbursed for the cost of the course.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these courses?

I've registered for Kaplan and they say it's really good. You have a 99%chance of passing the Nclex with their review. It's expensive, around $500.00 but I'd rather pay this amount and pass than fail and take the test again. You did well in the hesi exam but i don't know how reliable that is.

Anything over 950 says "outstanding chance of passing the NCLEX"

Did you print your HESI profile? That shows the areas that you were weak in and you can use that as a study plan for NCLEX preparation.

I just finished the Hurst Review last week and I have to say that it was AMAZING!! They really connected the dots for me. I learned about F & E's in school, but not like that! They helped me think about different body systems and how they corolate in a way that my instructors never could. The Hurst Review was able to explain the "why" in our actions as nurses. They also gave testing strategies and a 5th day DVD and computer disk so that I could continue my studies at home. I was really impressed!

I ended up doing the Hurst Review, and I passed the NCLEX in 75 questions!
