Hi all, I will be graduating this may with an associate RN and gaining my license in Illinois, but i plan on moving to Texas soon after. Is it possible to work in Texas with a licence from Illinois?

In a word, "no". Illinois has pending legislation to join the licensure compact, but that hasn't happened yet. If you are moving to Tx from another compact state, you will be able to practice with your 'other state' license for 90 days -- but you have to obtain a Tx license within that time period. Here is an explanation of the process FAQ's about the Nursing Licensure Compact

Where are you planning to move? As an ADN new grad, finding a job may be very challenging in any of our larger metro areas.

Best wishes on your move - WELCOME TO TEXAS!!!
