Is it too much?

I'm a new grad, recently licensed, and I've been applying like crazy. Some of the hospitals in the area have multiple positions available and wanted to know...Is it too much to apply to more than 1 position in the same facility? I want HR to know that I'm interested, and as a new grad I'm willing to take any floor available, but would it look like I'm 'all over the place' if I put in multiple applications? Help!

Nope. As long as you have a strong resume and cover letter to back up your enthusiasm you can never apply for too many jobs.

If/when you're called to interview, do make sure you have a strong focus on what you want as a nurse and what you bring to the table, regardless of which particular position you may be interviewing for.

I applied for 20 different positions at the same larger hospital system where I live Of those 20 applications I landed 1 interview and offered that position Trust me apply for everything you feel would be good for you.

I applied for several positions in the same hospital as well. I think this is pretty common.

When I was looking for my first hospital job I applied to 5 positions at one hospital. I was interviewed essentially for all of them at the same time. Be prepared for the question/comment "I see you applied to xyx positions. Is there one in particular you'd favour over another?" This is where you plug in how willing you are to learn no matter what and the type of asset you'll be to any team.....

Yea I applied to sooo many jobs at the same hospitals. I just made sure the nurse manager I would interview with knew I was interested in her floor specifically, because they want to hire someone who is interested in the floor more so than just someone who needs a job (even though you really just need a job and don't care what you do lol) just make it seem like you want that floor.

I applied to over 200 positions within a large multi state hospital system before I landed a job with them and with my current employer I knew I wanted peds so I applied to every peds opening they had at least 15 jobs before I was hired
So not uncommon HR is to sort threw and foreward on to the hiring manger the qualified applicants
