How do I know if I'm ready?

Hello all!

I am waiting on my ATT from the BON to take NCLEX. I called them today and they have deemed me eligible to test, I am just waiting on Pearson VUE to send the ATT. I am aiming for either July 1 or 2, but no later than July 6 to test. I have been out of school since May 16th.

I have taken Kaplan and I have done over 1000 questions in Kaplan, including the Q Bank. I have 3 more Question trainers to go. I am constantly getting between 58-67% on the Q banks tests. I take 50 questions at a time, select all unused items, and select every category. On the readiness test, I scored a 62% and still had 15 questions to go.

I am also doing Medspub and I am scoring between 60-72% on the comprehensive tests, which are 75 items each. I either get the danger zone or average.

I am gonna complete my Kaplan Question trainers and Medspub by the end of this week. Starting next week, I'll concentrate strickly on content and do nothing but Saunders questions, aiming at 100-150 questions a day, which is what I am doing now.

Do you think I am "ready" for NCLEX with these scores?

I was in about that same range with Kaplan, and passed with 75 questions. Sounds to me like you're on the path to success! Go get 'em!

Thanks! I emailed the Kaplan rep and he looked over my account and told me I was averaging about a 61% on the last 6 Q bank tests I took. He said he feel I should be ready for July 2. I also took Question Trainer 5 and got a 56%. I'm taking Question Trainers 6&7 by the end of this week and if I get a 60% or above on Question Trainer 7, I'm booking the July 2nd date.

I'm so ready to get this test over with!

Well good luck! Give yourself a day to relax before you go in and take it. If you walk out of the test feeling lousy, it doesn't mean you failed. If you're doing well, the computer is going to challenge you, and it can make you feel pretty dumb. It's a good sign.
