HHC job search

I'm a new grad nurse! Let me jus say shout out to all the new nurses out here...getting a hospital job is like trying to grab money in a tornado.

I live in NY and have applied to every job on the city hospital website hoping to get a call back.

Some of my classmates have landed HHC jobs 2 months of school, Associate degrees, with no prior hospital experience!!!

Glad to know there's hope. But I feel like I'm missing something...maybe a whole lot of luck smh...

HHC hospitals say they want experience and BSN but they only seem to be hiring ADN new grads...maybe they prefer to train ADN nurses versus BSN nurses because they know they'll stay longer

I have BSN CREDITS and 6 months experience, am I missing something??

You're not missing anything. It's very hard to find a job in this market, especially around NYC. It's super saturated.

You're not underqualified! Don't give up! Seriously. HHC hospitals take a WHILE to get back to you on anything.
