Just wanted to write a quick note, since so many comments here helped me with decision making on all levels with Excelsior College. And, made me feel NOT ALONE in this endeavour. Just passed the second exam FCCA 498 last evening. Cannot believe I have gotten so far, and what a great path it was for me with this school. I know the hardest is still in front of me, CPNE and boards, but I feel that if you prepare enough everything is possible.
ALL of the nursing exams I passed on first try and FCCA, with the help of STUDYGROUP101www.studygroup101.com/studyguides.html ONLY. Lifespan3 seemed the hardest for me, as the study material was not similar to the actual exam, but I always used the ADPIE, and it worked out well. I thought the notes from studygroup101 for FFCA were sufficient enough, plenty of practice questions, care plans, assessments! were great! If you study those- you WILL pass.
