Does anyone out there practice massage as an RN and in a medical facility? How did you get started? Do you recommend it?

I am a massage therapist. I have an IL RN license, but have not nursed in 12 yrs. Looking into the reentry in GA.

I am an RN 3 years of pediatric experience and 1 year of ICU/ER. I have found that the simple act of giving a back rub provides much pain and stress relief for patients, therefore, I am wanting to learn more massage techniques. I have researched many schools in my area (northeast Georgia) but all seem to have course requirements of a&p, which, unfortunately, I lack both time and money to repeat! Does anyone know of any schools in north Georgia and/ or the metro Atlanta area that will allow me to skip this coursework that I've already had?

You do not have to be an RN to be a nurse massage therapist. You can also be an LPN/LVN, they do not discriminate at all.
