Braun Machines & Reverse UF

Anyone out there using Braun machines? Our facility has 24 chairs & lately we've been having a run of Reverse Ultrafiltration warnings on the machines. We've been trying to find some sort of pattern to it...for awhile we thought perhaps we had a faulty lot of dialyzers since most of the ones that were alarming were using F200A's, but lately, we've noticed that it's not just the F200A's...now we're getting some on the F8's. There's no rhyme or reason...not the same machines that are alarming. We've been keeping track & can't find anything. Everyone (including our biomed engineer) is stymied.

Any ideas? Anyone else out there having similar issues?

We've had some problems in the past and finally narrowed it down to constrictions in the drain lines in the wall. In our case it was due to buildup of biofilm. Nowadays most engineers overkill on the drain size to allow for some buildup. Some drainlines are really too small, especially some of the older ones. Dunno if this is any help, but your folks could check.

P.S. We have Althines (Tinas). but the problem may be the same

Thanks! I will ask our biomed engineer. Our facility is an older one, so perhaps that is the problem.
