Hi everyone,

I'm scheduled to take the CCRN (adult) soon and would like to know how the test was for anyone who has taken it recently. Any advice or input is welcome. Thank you so much for your time!

It's a rough test. I thought it was kinda harder than the NCLEX in a way. What's your two week study plan like?

Thank you for the response. I have been studying for a good 2 months with Gasparis materials and Pass CCRN exam question bank/practice tests. Also utilizing the 150 question booklet with rationales and am about to purchase the practice test from AACN (60 questions offered via AMP). I'm so nervous!!!

I get that you are nervous but those two thing together I think will have you ready for this test. You will see things on it that you don't normally deal with because it's general ICU but I think your materials will have you ready my friend í ½í¸Š

I used the AACN website review and didn't find the exam too bad. You should be OK with the sources you are using. :geek:

It has been a couple years since I took the exam, but I mainly used the Gasparis DVDs/book and I could have easily passed had I studied nothing else. I found it a lot easier than NCLEX, while the content is definitely more advanced, the questions are much more straightforward. It was a hard test, but a fair one. Keep doing practice questions whenever you can and you'll do great. Good luck!

Pass CCRN book has a test bank. I did the test questions, which included rationales, for a couple weeks and the test was pretty similar. Very straightforward.

I bought the PassCCRN bank only for like $27 on Evolve (not book--heard it was ridiculously long/overkill) and was able to snag a copy of the Gasparis review from a coworker. Listened to her lectures in the car, and did almost all of the PassCCRN questions. It wasn't terrible! Good luck :)

Hello everyone and thank you for your encouragement!!! I took the exam today and passed!!! Took the assessment test by AACN (60 questions) 2 days before the exam and it was a GREAT predictor of my actual score :). I stuck with Gasparis, Pass CCRN, and the AACN practice questions and I'm glad this combo has wonderfully worked for me! Best wishes to anyone taking this exam!

Hi Chelle2013RN- The Gasparis materials are great! I watched the videos and also studied her notes which were lent to me by a friend. I also suggest utilizing PASS CCRN, those 2 along with AACN 150 practice questions REALLY helped me a lot :)
