Does anyone or has anyone worked for the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston's Correctional Managed Care? If so, what were your experiences / impressions with the work, the employer, etc?

I am new to network. I work for utmb. They are a business that wants the most from you for lthe least from them. I like working in corrections and they are my contract medical for corrections. The benefits are good especially in todays market. stray

Where do you work? Which unit/city? I have seen the pay and benefits, and they seem attractive. How are positions filled; I see that they have "Nurse Clinician" I to V. If someone has the qualifications for a V, are they placed as that or is it limited by the position they are filling? Where else (or for whom else) have you worked in corrections to compare to ?

Clinician 1 - IV for staff nurse . yes you are applying for the position posted even if you are more qualified. you need to apply on line. i work in san antonio and have worked in 4 units but all were under utmb. we are associated with hospital galveston. texas has numerous units under utmb or texas tech. there are several private units as well. i love my work and have had good as well as bad experiences. this job is not for an A type personality. to much stress.
