federal prison job in butner

Hi, i am considering a RN job in BOP at butner. Talking to current staff and it sounds pretty good. I just started as a new grad at duke and I know duke is cheap. Does anyone have input on working at butner and having a federal job? Thanks so much!

I'm not at Butner, but I do work for a Federal prison. The job is good, the benefits are great, and the pay is usually better than local hospitals (depending on your experience and location). My mentor through the Bureau of Prisons is a nurse at Butner and she loves it. Good luck with your decision.

Thanks Kate! I went today for a visit and it seems ok. Very interesting environment to work in by I think I can do it. Just need to learn the rules to live by. modern facility

yes, I took the position. took till august to start, I like it so far. going to ga for training next week!
