  3. Hi, i am considering a RN job in BOP at butner. Talking to current staff and it sounds pretty good. I just started as a new grad at duke and I know duke is cheap. Does anyone have input on working at butner and having a federal job? Thanks so much!
  4. Hey unc, I think the test and essay are important. My grades were not the best and my degree from the early 90's. I have been working as a cna for over a year to gain experience, had good references and a great essay. I think I got 85th% on part of the test and 80 percentile on the reading part so middle of the road for sure. I start in january with the nursing and I am excited to get going. good luck. Jennifer hawkins is the contact person at watts. She was really great to deal with. T
  5. Yes you are in watts too. The moc is in on semester for me it will be june-december 2010. I have a ba in psych and had alot of the pre reqs, you need to take the credits anyway. I am taking easy things so I can keep working full time till jan 2011 when watts starts. good luck. T
  6. hello, i am starting too next month. Taking math, a&p and religion at watts. other than that the rest online. The moc financial aid person was less than helpful and could not respond to my email with questions. Hopefully the finances will workout. trying to sell our house to downsize during the wson classes. see you there maybe.
  7. Yes, A grad works here at durham regional. She just graduated and she is 50. I am 41.lol
  8. Hey dani, I am starting in june too. Someone called last week and left me a message from MOC. I could not make out from who so I called **** who I hear is the wson person at moc. Waiting to hear back from her. Have you heard anything? I have most of the classes but from along time ago. except for religion and a&p i have had them all. let me know if you know anything. Todd
  9. I work for duke too. I hope we have an advantage over the other grads b/c we work here. I think that they don't just hire all the watts grads anymore. I am going to have to do partial loans and pay some monthly too.Credit is good but my wife makes good money too. Good thing my truck is paid off next january! See you there! Todd
  10. Hello I work at durham regional as a cna right now and can't wait to be done with that. I love to help my patients but we are so understaffed that you end up running yourself into the ground. I have learned alot though in the year I have been working as a cna. Can't wait to get going! congrats everyone who starts watts in 2011!
  11. hello, i am starting the moc stuff in june 10. I need to figure out the financing too. I work for duke now so they will pay me back when I'm done over 3 years. I need to get a loan I guess. unsecured not based on need.
  12. yup that is a good thought. the a&p is really the only class I have not had although i went to school along time ago for the most part.
  13. Thanks! to you too. that is about what I knew too. all those classes in 6 months? i hope to continue to work(at durham regional) i have had most of the classes but I would just like to do the easy classes until the nursing starts.talk to you later.
