New grad freeze thawing a little?

Does anyone else feel it is easing up any? I applied for months and months, to no avail. For the past few weeks I've started being contacted by recruiters though, and finally have interviews set up. They are even for good positions that I truly, truly would like to have (and STAY in for more than a year). I got my license in the beginning of May, so perhaps that has something to do with it, but things are definitely looking up for me.

I hope other people are finding themselves as lucky? My fingers are crossed that the new grad freeze out is starting to thaw.

I am so happy for you. I got my license in March and still no job...

Wow. I hope it lets up for you guys soon. When I was a new grad in 02, it was much easier to get jobs, but soon after I noticed hospitals shying away from hiring too. Is there a way you can go to one of your clinical units and re-introduce yourself?? boy oh boy, good luck!!

My clinical units were in and around Detroit, MI (my family relocated out here in Nov of 08, I stayed behind to finish school), but thanks because I definatly need all of the luck I can get!
