I currently attend Gateway I am finishing up my pre-reqs and plan to apply for the nursing program in November. My question is there anyone who is currently in the Gateway program and if so what was your A&P 1 grade. I have my final practical on the 6th and lecture exam on the 13th I have a 79% average in the class at this time and I am not sure how I will do on these next exams I need at least a B for my final grade but I want to know if I end up with a C+ for my final grade should I take the class over again? @ Gateway A&P 1 counts as 25% of you getting into the program, so Im freaking out. Any info would be appriciated.

Thanks in advance.:uhoh21:

Hi!

I am in the Gateway Nursing Program, and to answer your question, I had an "A" in A&PI and an "A" in A&PII. I'm not sure how well you did on your TEAS exam, but that counts, also. You have to remember that 60% of the class gets in with grades alone and 40% is lottery. This semester, there were a lot of students who made it into the program but couldn't accept their positions for one reason or another. I don't know if I would push myself back an entire semester for one grade (unless you retake it over the summer).

Hope this helps!

What pre-reqs did you take at Gateway? I will be attending there in the Fall.

I actually didn't take any of my prerequisites at Gateway. I took them all at Capital Community College in Hartford. This will be my first semester at Gateway.

Hello I am taking prereqs at Gateway starting in september. I hope to apply to the program in February of 09.

I am taking a&p I and chemistry this semester. And a&P II next semester.

Just wanted to stop by and say hello.

For those who are looking to save some money.... I am going to take some of the prereqs for Gateway online through Clovis CC in New Mexico. I have already written to Gateway and they said that yes they do accept the classes from Clovis. For a three credit course, it runs about $130 - that is for 3 credits! So I could take 3 courses for about the same as one course at a community college! Savings all that money will allow me to take all of my prereqs!
