[color=#446891]while nursing negotiations stalled at renown, some tentative agreements have been reached with nurses at saint mary's regional medical center, a spokeswoman for the california nurses association said sunday.

the cna has reached tentative agreements with saint mary's over grievance procedures, nurse rights to be the patient's advocate and no mandatory overtime, jill furillo, division director for the cna national nurses organizing committee, said. the sides remain apart on nurse-to-patient ratios, just as at renown regional medical center, where nurses are represented by a different union....

nurses at st. mary's in nevada win groundbreaking contract

registered nurses (rns) at st. mary's medical center in reno, nev., reached a groundbreaking contract with the catholic healthcare west (chw) hospital last night that includes safe staffing levels for patient protection, respect of union rights and pay and benefit improvements.

the 500 nurses who [color=#dd0011]overwhelmingly voted to join the california nurses association/national nurses organizing committee ([color=#dd0011]cna/nnoc) in december won nurse-to-patient staffing levels identical to the levels mandated by california's first-in-the-nation safe staffing level regulations....
