Wheelchair skill, etc

I'm wondering for the CNA skills state test what they have you do for the wheelchair skill.

I mean I'm small and weak lol how would I be able to pivot someone if I can't lift them, I understand than this would be a two person lift in real life but I don't want to fail the test because I can't lift/pivot someone .

Does any one else have an idea how this works?

Also, after you complete the hand washing skill you only have to announce you are washing your hands for each skill rather than actually preforming the skill before and after each procedures, right?

I just passed my CNA exam today and transfer from bed to wheelchair was one of my skills. My partner was larger than me so she did help me but during class I also transferred a larger woman but with no help from her. It's all about proper body mechanics, gait belts help to move a larger load. Also, yes, you only have to do the hand washing skill once then after you just have to say when you would need to wash your hands.

you would have both hands on the gait belt, having them put their hands on your elbows and make sure your feet are in the right position and have them rock back and forth with you while counting to three. and let them know that you will be pivoting to the right when you stand up. I talk myself thru every step. Say this is where i wash my hands

Usually for testing purposes is says that the resident can pivot themselves and can stand.

The person who gives you the test will claify this for you. Do as they instruct.
