Hi, I work in a ltc. I am tired of working first shift. Seems to me we clean up after 2nd and third shift. They leave wipes out, no briefs in the rooms and trash on the tables. Also call lights are found on the floor. Its hard to find someone to help you. Either with the Hoyer or with combative patients. Alot of the cnas talk to nurses and then say they are behind. Some of them u wonder. How do they still have a job. To tool it off they make more money than you. So my question is do others have these problems. I have complained but, I feel like I'm wasting my breath. Can't wait to go to second shift and start nursing school.

......and when you go to 2nd shift, you will have "trouble" with the first and 3rd shift staff.

It is what it is and it will always be that way.

Yes, you are wasting your breath by complaining.

Just do your very best that you can with what you have.

Hopefully it will work out with school and getting my bf to work. We will see starts tomorrow every weekend less hours but same pay check. Should get a raise soon. I will be working there 6 years the 20th.

First night back on second and it was a breeze. No racing to get people up for breakfast. I'm not as tired feet and back don't hurt as bad. First day of school is Mon. Its going to be craziness.
