Things to look for in a CNA Program

What kinds of things do I need to look out for while looking for a CNA program? Are some of them out there no good? Is a CNA course, a CNA course or are there special credentials the school should have in order for it to be a valid school?

I'm in Texas if it matters/helps.

I think you should look online at your state nursing board site to see if they are accepted first of all. Then ask the school about their pass rates for the state exams. Good pass rates probably mean good instructors. Then I would look at flexibility to meet my schedule and number of clinical hours. Of course all the state approved schools will require the minimum number of clinical hours but if I would want a few more than the minimum just for the practice. Finally I would look at price.....I would eliminate the cheapest and the most expensive schools.
