Texas CNA Reimbursement

Nursing Students CNA/MA

So on the Department of aging and disibilities website it says that a CNA shall be reimbursed the cost of their training if they are employed within a year of becoming certified. I was wondering if anyone has been reimbursed for thier training and if so was it by the state or by your employer, and how did you go about getting it?

Any help is really appreciated I talked to my employer about it and they said they've never heard about it and that I have to go through the state to get reimbursed.

I have been resarching this ever since I finished my clinicals. Haven't found anything on DADS. I'm pretty sure the state is supposed to reimburse you in increments while you are employed. I tried looking up a form to fill out and submit to DADS but no luck. I will keep researching though!

I did some calling around at DADs and finally found out. Your employer has to submit it to the state during billing. Its only about 200 dollars, and the employer is to pass the money on to you when received. The amount of money you get back depends on how many medicare patients the facility you work at has.

Okay I'll have to look into that, Thanks.
