Hey all. I'm a CNA, working at a LTC facility for a few months. I've been reading through the threads here, and it has been very eye-opening, to say the least. A lot of the problems I've been having, and problems I thought were just at my facility, seem to be really common.
My concern is, I just can't handle the stress from this facility anymore. For awhile the other CNAs and I were very close-knit, but now it seems everyone's as burned out as me. I decided that I'm going to put in my notice that I'm quitting, even though I don't have another job lined up. (I want to go into home-health or assisted living, and while I've applied to some places, I haven't heard back yet.)
I would have to scale my hours back drastically for summer classes and nursing school
anyway, so it's not a big loss if I don't have a job for awhile. Am I crazy? Should I try to stick it out for a few more weeks until I have a solid offer, or just go?
