Pre employment questions!

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

Hello,

I have looked around and read that background checks/drug tests can take up to two weeks at times, but I could not find it for medical jobs. I applied for a CNA position at a local senor center, got a call back and attended an in person interview the next day. Immediately I did a drug test, and signed off for a background check and the paper I was given back says I'm in the pre employment stage.

What I was wondering was does this mean I've got the job for sure? I know the background check and drug test will be fine and am not worried about that. How long should it take to hear back? It has been nearly ten days, and lots of places say to call back and ask how everything is going, but I do not want to seem difficult right off.

I realize I'm likely getting antsy for nothing but thank you to anyone who can tell how long I'll be waiting, etc, and who takes the time to read. :)

Call on Monday afternoon. It can't hurt.

At ny facility it takes A MONTH for all this to process.

If they are willing to spend $$$ on a drug test abd background check then you are hired. Check in with them to check the status.

I suppose not! I'll probably do that, and see where I am at. Thank you.

Wow, that is a long time! Thank you, I will. :) I am hoping it doesn't take a month at least.
