After the class finished our state board exam for the course, one of the clinical instructors recommended the PMAB program to us after we get our cards in the mail. She said that she ended up being a psych aide for several years before going through nursing school and it sounded pretty interesting. Speaking on the topic of other certifications that could add to the value of the CNA certification, what other ones are available out there that can be taken besides that and the medication aide?

Phlebotomy and EKG certification. The later is about a week long. You can get a phlebotomy through a community college which is a lot cheaper.

no. the title of the position varies among states, but one position involves a one-day class and you can only pass meds in assisted living or group homes. the other involves 75-100 hours of classroom and clinicals and you can pass meds and insulin in a long-term care facility.
