Hit a road block need advice

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I just recieved a call from the RN

supervisor of the LTC facility where

I will be taking my CNA training and

have already been prehired signed

pre employment paperwork did physical, TB

drug screen and background provided

direct deposit information etc.

I get a call that now I cannot take the

class with the facility due to the

fact they are having my CC come in

and do the training.

Here is the problem, I owe a balance to

the CC and the school will not allow

students to take classes until balance

is paid. That is why I chose to apply

at a nursing home.

When I was interviewed nothing was mentioned

about the CC teaching the course. It wasnt

until after they accepted me and did

the pre hire paper work that this came up.

I am not the only person in the class in

this situation there is another person

in the same situation.

I am stressing because I went all out

to do my physical, TB drugscreen and

have done all my homework due for the first

day of class. I need help. Any advice

will greatly help. Thanks.

Community college sorry. They are having

my local community college come in and teach

it.Hope this helps. It was supposed to be

that the nursing facility was teaching

it but after calling everyone to let them

know they were in, they are now having

the local community college CNA instructor

teach it which left us all confused.

i dont see why that would matter..its not like you are going to the college for the class, they are coming to your facility. if i were you, i would go and make payment arrangements with them to see if that would help get you back in!

Thanks for your response. It wouldnt matter

however the college is having us that are taking

the class to get hired enroll as a student

through them in order to get financial aid

I have set up to pay the college which

luckily will be paid in time for me to

start class in January. I am supposed to

speak to HR at the LTC facility about it

further. Again thanks for the help.
