Cna state exam tomorrow! Advice??

I'm very nervous for my exam tomorrow. I took some practice tests online and did well. I'm not the best test taker when the time comes. I've been studying and feel confident. Is the exam really hard? I'm in New Jersey if it matters.

Written was very easy for me. The skills was more nerve wracking. But just keep calm, take your time, and you should do fine.

Written was a piece of cake. The skills is what scared me because there will be someone breathing down your neck watching your every move (don't mean to freak you out but that's how my proctor was) but once you get through the first couple of skills (I had to do 5) my jitters went away and I totally just tuned her out :) and I passed. Just keep calm and don't freak out because its not as bad as you make it out to be in your head. Good luck! You'll do great.

In NJ? Written or skills? Which test site? I tested in Tom's river, and the center is hard to find. Make sure you have an hour extra time

Written. Sorry meant to be more elaborate. I passed my skills and I'm taking it in cherry hill.

Hi Emily, I assume you've already taken your exam. How did it go?? I take my exam (both skills and written) tomorrow. I am freaking out about the skills portion. Do you have any advice about staying calm throughout the exam? I don't want to blank out  during the skills portion, over being frazzled...

I haven't taken my written exam yet but I did take my skills. The best advice I can give you is just breathe and relax. I pretended I was teaching the evaluator what to do. I know it's nerve racking. On my first skill I forgot to put gloves on for a bedpan. She let me do it over which saved me. Just pretend its another ordinary day where you're practicing your skills. Pretend you're teaching them what to do. I know it's easy to say all this but that's exactly what I did and I passed first try.

Also, remember that if you make a mistake during a task you can correct yourself.

I was given dressing a patient with affected right arm and I messed up. I realized my mistake and corrected it.

Also, make sure to lower the bed and give the pt the call light
